Indian ODI captain Rohit Sharma has been on vacation with his family and seen outside in London enjoying the vacation freely with his family. While India took on England in the Test series, the 38-year-old was exploring Milan, Switzerland, and London with wife Ritika Sajdesh and their children.
The veteran cricketer announced his Test retirement on May 7, 2025, through his official Instagram page. "It's been an absolute honour to represent my country in whites. I will continue to represent India in the ODI format."
It seems Sharma is taking full advantage of the well-deserved break after dedicating so much to cricket. At the beginning of June, he was seen in Milan, Italy, with his wife and kids and shared some glimpses on Instagram. They also visited the iconic Duomo di Milano cathedral. Also, in late June, the family spent time in Switzerland, and according to the latest posts, they are now having fun in London's urban environment. Each destination offered what India cannot provide - normal family experiences without security concerns.
News sources mentioned that he took relaxed and brief selfies with his fans during the tour, and some of them had gone viral. In India, such encounters would have become crowd control situations requiring security protocols.
The recent development in Indian cricket might also have given Rohith the required break in Rohith’s schedule. The Bangladesh ODI series scheduled for August 17, 2025, has been postponed, and his next international appearance will likely come during India's Australia tour in October 2025.
Besides some ongoing debates about whether Rohit Sharma needs to
participate in the 2027 ODI World Cup, the T20 World Cup-winning captain seems to be getting his much-needed family break, and surely Ritika and kids would love to get the maximum fun out of it while he is around.
